Do you wonder what Bikes and Bites is all about?
We’re about making it easy to explore Drumheller by combining two ideas into one great shop.
Bikes = electric bike (e-bike) tours and rentals.
Bites = delicious sandwiches and picnics
Together you have an easy and fun way to explore the Drumheller valley! Add food to your e-bike rental and we provide a cooler for you to take your picnic on your ride.
Pop by the Badlands Community Facility and enjoy some bikes, bites or both!
Welcome!
About
Our Story
Bikes and Bites was inspired by a visit to Drumheller in the summer of 2020.
After visiting the Royal Tyrrell Museum we took to exploring.
We stumbled upon the 18km of pathway that spans the valley. Our interest peaked and we returned with our bikes. With two feet and a heartbeat we experienced the scenic valley, the river and the community. We were impressed by Drumheller and its people. We decided that weekend that we wanted to be a part of it, and provide joyful adventure to others. With a passion for leisure biking and great sandwiches, it made sense.
A year later we opened our shop here in Drumheller. Each day is a step forward in being part of the community and making our dream a reality.
We’re based out of the Badlands Community Facility and are here to give you a chance to explore this beautiful area with your own two feet!
We know you'll fall in love with the valley - just like we did!
Meet Lana
Lana brings her passion for community and professional experience to Bikes and Bites. She’s our behind-the-scenes master!
Lana loves to travel! “Renting a bike is one of my favourite ways to explore a place. Biking takes you further than walking, but can still stop and check out things that catch your eye. It brings me joy to see people using our e-bikes to check out Drumheller valley, such a unique and beautiful place here in Alberta. Hearing the stories from guests is vicarious travel for me!”
Lana was fortunate enough to spend 14 months exploring the world. Most recently, after a long pause in international travelling, she enjoyed an educational experience in Brazil.
Meet Natalie
Natalie is our chef and brings her culinary expertise and years of food service experience to our delicious menu at Bikes and Bites.
She enjoys seeing people enjoy what she makes. Don't be shy - let her know when you like your meal. She adores making breakfast. She makes delicious breakfast on winter weekends @drumarenabites in the Memorial Arena.
She loves Halloween, especially pumpkin carving! This past year's carvings included an amazing painted eyeball that was a pumpkin inside a pumpkin. We can't wait to see what she carves next year.
We’re the co-owners of Bikes and Bites here in Drumheller. We can’t wait to meet you.

Drumheller Pride
Drumheller Pride happens the first full week of June.
We actively support this week-long celebration providing visibility to our 2SLGBTQI+ community by hosting an event, helping organize and attending.
We’d love to see you join the fun June 2 - 9, 2024. Check out the Badlands Pride Association @drum_has_pride socials for details.
We're co-hosting the Badlands Biking Pride Night on Wednesday June 5 @ 7pm, starting from the Badlands Community Facility.
Rails to Trails
Rails to Trails is fundraising for a legacy project that will double the kilometres of pathway in Drumheller by converting the former CN rail right-of-way. The pathway will connect the iconic Midland Bridge to Wayne by way of Drumheller and Rosedale.
Lana contributes her time and expertise as the Task Force Secretary, and in the development of the concept plan that recognizes the route's railway history and the beauty of the Badlands. We can’t wait to ride across the Midland Bridge!
